  1. I have a feeling Mark is, for whatever reason, seriously underexaggerating the effects of a 99% eclipse in this podcast. That much blocking of sunlight is bound to drop the temps a few degrees. And bear in mind that even in Madras and Salem, 99% totality will come less than a minute before 100% totality.

My prediction is that observers in Portland, The Dalles, Eugene and Bend will not be disappointed by what they see on Monday morning.

  2. WEATHERDAN says:

85 and sunny here this mid Summer afternoon. Lots of squash and gourds in my home garden this year. Green beans also. Next two weeks look real nice. Mostly in the 80,s and sunny. Next Monday I will venture 300 feet from my house to watch the eclipse from Bush Park here in Salem. View should be spectacular. Peace.

  3. Roland Derksen says:

Enjoy the event, and hopefully, the clouds will stay away!

  4. Jason Hougak says:

I’m excited and am not mentioning where I’m going now because I don’t want to give anybody else any ideas.
