The SW US looks absolutely miserable. Death Valley forecast highs this week above 120F with 127F… possibly hotter, yikes. Furnace Creek really living up to its name. Central Valley in California 100’s plus all week. Hot weather even pushing up into southern Oregon. Please stay away. Tonight was a great Fathers Day evening outside for a BBQ.

  2. WEATHERDAN says:

78 and sunny. Got only .15 rain out of that last storm. What a bust. Peace.

  3. Paul D says:

I’ve enjoyed you, lower than normal temperatures. Please come back soon!

  4. High Desert Mat says:

I have a feeling summer is finally starting today.

  5. JERAT416 says:

    Juneuary may be ending soon.

  6. Tyler Mode in Battle Ground says:

Ended up with 0.84″ yesterday, my 2nd wettest June day at this location.

I think they blew it on the forecast for wind in the pdx area today(yesterday since it’s nearly 5am now, and yes, pun intended). I think I saw 1 or 2 small gusts all day in Vanc today, although I was half paying attention too. Usually I hear it if its 20mph or more. Give us a windstorm, I miss those fun events! Anyone on the coast see anything interesting?

Btw, long time lurker, very rarely post anything. Kinda drunk atm lol

  8. Overcast is breaking up and rain has stopped. 0.80″ storm total here. Quite impressive for June.

    • Roland Derksen says:

Not a whole lot here this time for me; 0.58 inch total.Wolf Read in Coquitlam (near the mountains) got over an inch, so I think the wind played a factor this time in our precipitation difference.

  9. Paul D says:

Mark is in Hawaii and we’re stuck here!! Not fair!

  10. Jason Hougak says:

Rained hard and steady in Boring most of the day but where was the wind… aren’t these meteorologist suppose to get it right. I mean come on if you want to go to school and get a job where you don’t have to get things right then a weatherman is the perfect job. Just think it’s ridiculous.

  11. WEATHERDAN says:

What a forecast bust so far today. Just a light breeze and only .13 so far. One more day of this crummy weather and then the good stuff begins. At least a week of sunshine with highs in the 80,s. Peace.

  12. Jason Hougak says:

Marks gone so let the weather action begin

  13. W7ENK says:

They’ve upped the expected rainfall totals and potential wind gusts in the Valley.

“…up to an inch of rainfall…”

    “…gust 30 to 40 mph this afternoon.”

    Hold onto your butts!!

Love the forecast for “comfy” on the 7-day! I want to be comfy …

    • Paul D says:

Comfy is a relative term. I think the past couple days have been comfy because I can crawl in bed and not wish the A/C would turn on

54F with occasional light showers here today. tomorrow will be a repeat of last Thursday’s soaker, it seems.

  17. Sheri says:

The reason I didn’t put an air conditioner in this year was because we’re going to have a cooler summer , Oregon has cooler summer’s. Every four years . last winter’s snowy conditions ment cooler summer with lots of cloudy days .
