Spring Break: Vacation Time

Wednesday, March 18th…

I will be posting very little (or not at all) during the next 10 days.  It’s Spring Break time in Oregon and I’m taking a vacation with the family through Saturday the 28th.

I’ll be back at work on Sunday the 29th.

Looks like lots of cooler showers, cold core convection and mountain snow on the way later this week and into next weekend. This looks like perhaps one of the longest cool and wet periods I have seen advertised by models all winter. The GFS and the EURO both seem to indicate that we will be under the influence of cooler troughs and storm systems for the better part of the next 2 weeks.

i sure don’t remember having this many storms in winter.
seems like the last 4 winters have been nothing rain and wind storms.

5 years ago we had arctic blast.

In my opinion. better be ready, i think this summer is going to have some big surprises on the way ,maybe tornado or two.

I honesty believe we are going to have some fun with a few bomb genesis ourselves.

    • W7ENK says:

Lee, you don’t seem to understand…

We don’t get summertime tornadoes around here because we don’t get thunderstorms capable of spawning them. Our climate and our terrain don’t allow for the right conditions to develop.

Next week has snow level lowest since Christmas Break, welcome back winter.
