Pretty looking! That 12z Euro run was one for the keeping. 🙂

  2. Rob - Southeast Portland says:

Incredible potential from those charts for not just one shot of cold air, but perhaps multiple reloads of arctic air. I like it.

    00z NAM in 45 minutes
    00z GFS in 2 1/2 hours
    00z GEM in 2 1/2 hours
    00z EURO in 5 hours 50 minutes

    • Benjamin (West Salem) says:

Do you have access to the EURO ensembles? I was wondering how far off the 12z operational run was from the rest.

Thanks for analyzing this for everyone.

    • Ben T says:

I thought NAM forecasted more short term?

    • Benjamin (West Salem) says:

It does, but we could still see the pattern starting to take shape up north on it… . i think 😉

    • BoringOregon says:

      So yellow bad, blue good?

    • Rob - Southeast Portland says:

NAM forecasts to FCST HR 84, which we can see the pattern setting up upstream already.

    • marcustheweathernut says:

if i remember correctly only, “the weather men/women” have access to the euro ensembles….. not sure tho??

    • marcustheweathernut says:

thanks Rob….. do u have a good GEM link??

    • nathan says:

someone please tell me is this going to ever happen? One hour its one thing the next hour its a different thing. If anyone was going to put odds on it being cold and i mean cold not 40 what would they be?

    • marcustheweathernut says:

I think it will be cold just not sure on snow or how much…. its just to early to tell… i like that the 12z euro is on our side……but the 12z euro ensembles werent the greatest… well see on the 00z run:)
