The models are in pretty good agreement now. The new 00z GFS and GEM both take the cold air and drop it in the midwest/eastern USA. The 12z EURO was hinting at this possibility earlier. With all of the models on board now, it’s safe to say no threat of arctic air here in the PNW till atleast the first week of December, but at least the midwest and east coast get a big snowstorm.

  4. Mark: Brett Anderson of Accuweather reported that the ecmwf seasonal fcst suggested warmer than normal eastern US. You see euro seasonal fcst? If so, Could you tell us what it shows for us?

  5. Garron near Washington Square says:

My Wishcastic winter wonderland would be 4 days of east winds 1st to clear the rest of the leaves out of my area, no raking. Then snow 12 feet and stay until the middle of January for all I care. I’m ready, got firewood and beer, briquettes and steaks in the freezer, just need the leaves to go bye bye…
