A Very Wet Friday, but Drier Weekend Ahead

What a soaker today, as of 7pm we’ve received almost 3/4″ of rain!  as of 8pm we’ve broken the record with .90″ and still raining!  The record for this date is .82″ set in 1968 and we might break it since we still have a couple hour’s worth more rain on the way.

Today’s front juiced up more than expected. But from late tonight through Sunday evening most of the action shifts to the north. So Saturday still looks mainly dry and the Sunday rainfall will be just about all north of Portland. For sure if you live in Newport, Salem or The Dalles, most of your weekend will be dry.

My ducks are happy since as of this afternoon all the water from my roof is diverted into their pond; they have a high volume of FRESH water flowing!   Yes, life is good again for a duck in Oregon, and slugs, and all our plants.  Everything is back to normal.

I’m not working this evening, which is good in this case because it’ll be an early start tomorrow for the:

OREGON AMS COLUMBUS DAY STORM MEETING

– 10am tomorrow in the OMSI auditorium

– Free

– Raffle for a weather station

Well, hello! That’s a nice dry slot you have there…

Too bad it’s not closer to our coast, though it looks to be moving right toward Vancouver Island. Not bad placement, esp if that low closes and wraps up real tight over the next few hours! Definitely something to keep an eye on. 😀

By the way Rob. Thank you for being the ONLY one on here not rude or acting like an A hole at even just the word Western Weather.

It’s like as soon as I say the forbidden word everyone reaches for their hidden six-shooters under their boots. :p

Absolutely stupid and only makes you guys look like fools as I haven’t done anything wrong other then politely asking about the W word.

I’ll just have to accept that the mods at Western are just screwed up since nobody here has enough brains (or is it guts?) to help me.

NowI’m only going to be on here to post my rainfall totals and I’m out since this world is wicked and cruel filled with more and more people longing for money and power over love and understanding to an extreme like we’ve never seen.

Thanks guys for proving me the direction of mankind!

I am SO glad I don’t live up in the city when the you know what hits the fan and people really go bat shit.
I find it funny how British or anybody descended from there are a lot more polite then the average American whom are quick to give you the middle finger.

Kyle, I’m going to outline for you exactly what you’ve done wrong, as politely and respectfully as possible.

      1) You asked about Western Weather forums on the Fox 12 Weather Blog. This is the Fox 12 Weather Blog, not Western. No one on here really gives a flying rat’s A-hole about Western.

      2) You’ve asked the same question about Western no less than 6 times in the last two weeks. You have been given helpful responses each time. You’ve been helped. Stop asking. Now, it’s just incredibly annoying, I’m sorry.

      3) You called the moderator of this blog an A-hole, twice (maybe 3 times) now. Not wise. I hope Mark puts you on moderation at this point, because you certainly deserve it.

      4) You’ve been consistently violating rule #3 (see sidebar above for a refresher). In fact, you just dropped a profanity bomb in this post here. Again, not wise, and I hope Mark puts you on moderation at this point, because you certainly deserve it.

Kyle, I understand that you have a disability, and I realize that can be difficult to deal with at times, but I also know that you understand where the line is, and you know not to cross it. Take time away from this blog if you are unable to control your emotions, please. Come back when you can think more clearly and conduct yourself in a more appropriate manner.
