Cascade Creek Fire; Looks Impressive on Satellite Image

Take a look at the visible satellite loop this afternoon, the fire on the southwest flank of Mt. Adams sure looks like it’s taking off:

The smoke plume is drifting over Mt. St. Helens, check out the Volcano Cam:

Extreme fire danger over and west of the Cascades as we are in a full-blown dry east wind event through tomorrow afternoon.  Gusty and dry wind plus warming temps are always bad for fires west of the mountains.  Be careful out there!
