A surprise line of thunderstorms popped up in the middle of the metro area (SW Portland) around 3pm and raced north in Clark County Saturday afternoon. The lightning strikes were very visible since there was little to no rain with the storms. You can see several cloud to ground strikes right along I-5 and more up into northern Clark County on the map.
I didn’t hear a thing, but I’m way out on the eastside. Those of you way out west of Beaverton probably didn’t hear it either.
