Mass Fire Evacuations This Evening In Colorado

32,000 people have been evacuated as a wildfire burns out of control on the outskirts of Colorado Springs this evening.  Here is a live stream from KUSA Television out of Denver.

By the way, Denver hit 105 again today, tying the all-time hottest temperature there for the 2nd day in a row.

    I remember how hot mid 90s felt in Denver with the high angle sun and thinner altitude. It was like being on fire outside. I can’t imagine what today felt like…

    A few years ago, I turned down a job offer in Boulder, largely because I strongly prefer to live in a mild marine climate. After reading about the hellish summer they are having in Colorado, I am very happy to be living someplace cool and green.
