Pretty lightning and thunder down here now. Some impressive cloud to ground strikes.

It’s still a pretty good light show over Woodburn & out to Mcminnville. Watched the sun set thru the thunderstorm-impressive!

It’s a Stray Albino Donkey stampede!

  4. Brian says:

Lots of thunder and DARK skies to my east. I’m near Carlton

I can see straight across the valley to that large cell heading S from Hillsboro to Dundee. Have seen several CG strikes in the Red Hills.

amazing cell just overhead in Forest Grove ……spectacular!

  7. Mr Data says:

The sun just went bye bye with darkish clouds from the ENE.

Sometime within the last hour it must’e sprinkled because the driveway/grass and the neighbors driveway looks very slightly wet.

We got a horrible smell outside along with this storm! Is that possible? Or just coincidence?

    • AdamInAumsville says:

It’s ozone. It’s created when lightning occurs.

    • Jade says:

This was more like raw sewage. I went looking to punish my cat thinking he had messed on the floor, lol.

    • Dave in SW PDX (235') says:

Have you cleaned your gutters lately? Seriously, I’ve noticed that raw sewage smell before just outside the house only to find it’s the decaying organic matter in my loaded gutters. Usually more noticeable on a warm & windy day, too.

      Or, it could be ozone.

    • Ozone isn’t horrible. Kinda metallic. Maybe you’re getting a down draft that picked up fumes from a paper mill. Or tapped into the troposphere that had a bunch of stink from Shanghai!
btw…big rumbles and flashes to my northeast right now!

    • Jade says:

That makes the most sense boydo3, just wasn’t sure it was possible or not. I smelled it in Parkrose first, my sister in Montavilla got it about 10 minutes later.
