Quick Sunday A.M. Check In

Hmmm, thick low clouds over the western Valleys this morning and cool onshore flow airmass appears quite deep.  Very first glance would say “hard to clear out today”, but I didn’t look at much.  Not exactly a forecast there.

Rainy most of the upcoming week still.

The 00z ECMWF definitely shows hope for much warmer weather about 7 days from now as a cold trough digs into California and we get ridging behind it starting next Sunday:

The 6z GFS is similar to the ECMWF mean, not the operational:

Does anybody have any flaming hot tips on how to stop being constantly interrupted or being ignored when I am trying to explain something in a simple way in which I have to repeat myself before they go “Oh” as if it was the first time I said it?

At least The Dalles got a 4th nice weekend…temps near 70 both days, more sun than clouds, and moderate breeze. The heat wave was fun but I was glad to see it end. Looks like we may have another hot spell coming up for about May 6-10 I see!

    • Jbpdx says:

Intellicast shows low- to mid-60s next week. Just struggling to get back to average/normal temps is pathetic.

  8. W7ENK says:

Okay, so was there some big storm over the weekend while I was gone or something?? I just got home to find a branch down right in from of my car, my garbage can lid blown half way to the back yard, and 0.60″ in my analog gauge…

    o_O?

Meanwhile in Central Oregon, it was blue sky sunshine all day and millions of stars at night for four days! 🙂

Musta been Thur. evening, had a couple squall like conditions out in Battle Ground I remember.

  9. Mr Data says:

Sorry for the double comments again but it took me a while to notice the temp graph being blank in my haste to type and I am having SEVERE allergy problems right now making me eyes hurt bad like YEOUCH!

    • karlbonner1982 says:

That really sucks dude. I had horrible grass pollen allergies when I lived in Eugene. The whole period from late May through about June 21 was a total nightmare!

  10. Mr Data says:

I just noticed the temp alert at the top is totally blank! Has this happened before?

  11. Mr Data says:

Nice but sort of humid day. It has a little bit of the T-storm feel out there with the hazy sunshine and clouds all around.

  12. Jbpdx says:

At 3pm still no sun. Zero sun here all weekend. Rained both mornings. A 3 out of 10.

    • Mr Data says:

Want some of the hazy sunshine from here? If so do you want me to send it 1st class?

  13. JJ97222 says:

Not a drop under the dome in Milwaukie this morning turning nice out now

  14. JJ97222 says:

Lets go for another dry weekend next week, starting to shape up lets keep it going and then turn on the heat!!!!

  15. muttville1 says:

    Oh……..this is just great.

  16. bgb41 says:

Oh well… We knew the odds were stacked against us getting a 4th nice weekend in a row.
