  5. Karl Bonner says:

This one’s easy – a big fat ZERO in The Dalles and surrounding hills, maybe a touch at the very top of the Klickitats (above 2300′ or so) but it could have been left over from several days ago, since as of Christmas Day there was still snow on the ground almost everywhere significantly above 1000′.

    • Karl Bonner says:

Disclaimer: I didn’t look until high noon so it’s possible there was more snow earlier in the morning on the top of the Klickitats and perhaps right at Sevenmile Summit as well. But the important thing is no snow anywhere near town elevations.

and no, those weren’t snow drifts I measured.

I took pictures for stat purposes, but I don’t know how to download them to this website.

I took quick pictures when cars drove by, I didn’t want to appear that I’d never seen snow before.

But, we finally got it…now i understand it’s supposed to warm up next week…darn.
