Snow, Only on Blog Though

Richard Van Dijk sent me a note, he noticed that I can add falling snow to the weather blog for the Christmas season.  Thanks for that…and let me know if it really irritates you.

Speaking of irritation;  forecasts of snow in the next 5 days are a bit annoying.  We have not put it in our forecasts here because we can’t find a model that shows a decent setup for snow here…until later next week maybe?  I’ll have some thoughts later.

Nice snow “enhancement” on the blog–but we just installed a new computer, monitor, etc. and I told my husband–“I think there’s something wrong with the new monitor, little pixels keep floating down.” (Still hoping for lots of the real stuff)

  2. Karl Bonner says:

I wondered why it looked like snow was falling across the screen! Nice one Mark, but you should make it a little heavier. Not much heavier, just a touch.

  3. Annie in Vancouver says:

Can we have a heavier snow? I love it! Nice touch Mark 🙂

here is a site where you can go back and put in a particular date for the last 6 years and see what the weather maps were showing for that date. Steve P put a different one up a few years ago that had a longer history to it but I can’t rememeber the site. Maybe he or someone can post it.

  8. Tetra says:

    Oh I love those ideas.

I can really get a good test out of the KPTV blog machine I drive around in.

Anybody want to borrow/take it for some cold chasing?

Mark, for the spring/summer you should put random flashes of lighting in for storms and give the effect of those heat ripples that you see on the street on a hot summer day for those heat wave. During pineapple expresses have big rain drops falling as well.
