It should have been a good late night to be hanging out on the beach at Seaside looking west.  Look at the volume of lightning activity offshore overnight!  Astoria really got nailed by a thunderstorm between 8-9am.  I see .66″ of rain in one hour there.  As models have shown, the best action today will be in Western Washington, but we should get some decent convection here.  Especially with the “warm” temps up near 70 by midday or so.  I’ll be participating in the MDA Telethon after 6pm tonight and all afternoon tomorrow on KPDX, so inbetween hits I can keep an eye on the radar for fun.
