The Day After

Sure feels like the day after a party.  Or I suppose in this case it’s the day after the party weekend.  Here is the satellite image from 7am…and it really shows the story well.  Even a 1st grader could identify the crest of the Cascades since a solid marine layer extends right up to the passes.  When the marine layer looks this solid and deep, it’s tough to get any clearing until late afternoon in PDX, quite possibly none at all.  It also looks to me like maybe a fire near Santiam Pass or just south of Mt. Jefferson spewing some smoke out to the northeast?  Maybe not; hard to tell with just one image.

Those of you that didn’t like the heat will sure enjoy the next few days with the much cooler temps though.  See you this afternoon/evening on the TV.
