East Wind Gusts (12/6-12/8)

Something new for our east wind event…this link is for unofficial MEASURED windspeeds only.  Place the Time, Location, and Peak Gust  in a comment below.  No discussion here please and I’ll take care of the mesonet/NWS peak speeds too…Mark

    Yes, windy day in the gorge to say the least. Counted 10 trees down since the last time I was up there…just 3 days ago.
    Peaked at 95.4 mph, with 2nd and 3rd gusts coming in at 89 and 88 mph. Went to Crown Point again around 1:30, peak gust 87 mph.
    By the way, all of the ice is gone from the falls.

    8:15 AM 68MPH I just looked at the weather log in the weather computer. Earlier I reported 66. Evidently the automatic data mailer doesn’t always catch the highest gust.
