Short Post Tonight

Nothing has changed this evening, cold trough slow approaches tomorrow and moves overhead Friday-Sunday.  Then back to weak ridging or troughiness for the beginning of next week…Mark

As of right now I am thinking we may dry out Tuesday..But the models change a lot sometimes.

  4. Camas Mom says:

Will it get dry and warm next week?

  5. Derek Hodges says:

I can’t wait until tomorrow, it should be even better than today.

  6. Camas Mom says:

What is up with ALL THIS RAIN??? Omg, it has been coming down so hard, and now it’s thundering out there.

  7. Droppin says:

    Heavy rainfall indeed Justin.

  8. Justin says:

Had exactly a half inch in 15 minutes. Those in Battle Ground, be warned.

  9. Justin says:

Pretty good storm over here in Brush prairie. The rain was the most impressive thing, I’m just about to go out and see how much we picked up. Counted about 5 lightning strikes. I wasn’t out in it so I can’t be sure, but I thought I heard hail for a brief time as well.

  10. Droppin says:

Fairly vigorous t-storm has developed over Vancouver now moving ENE. I have detected 15 lightning strikes already with this. As far as the odds of good t-storms? Well tomorrow we will have colder air aloft which will help these showers/storms to grow even higher. With any sunbreaks tomorrow we could get some active storms. I would not be entirely surprised to hear about a severe report, or a cold air funnel cloud siting.

  11. Justin says:

Just had a thunderstorm. VERY heavy rain, and one lightning strike with thunder right over me.

  12. Mat says:

What is the possibility of it happening tonight like the way it did the other night about 5 nights ago?

  13. Mat says:

I just saw the sun come out. I hope there could be some daytime heating from it. Anyone know the odds of good t-storms tonight?

  14. Derek Hodges says:

yeah, i just had about 1/4inch of rain, pretty heavy stuff

  15. -100F says:

    T-storms still possible tommorow.

  16. Derek Hodges says:

lots of showers popping up now 🙂

  17. Justin says:

Big tornado event possible in Indiana, storms initiating now in Missouri, looks to be a long evening. Saty safe, and I hope you chase a few of them Sean.

  18. Derek Hodges says:

Hoping to see something good today, looks like some big storms bearing down on Sean’s location.

  19. Ian says:

its nice that the Wunderground radar has the cell tracker back up.

  20. Droppin says:

Well we are starting to get some t-storm activity brewing up. Nothing severe, or even strong just typical isolated pulse storms. I have detected ohhh 15 or so lightning strike on AM radio (530-540AM) since 2:30PM. Just wait until the cold air aloft moves overhead. I really do think it’s not out of the question to get some active storms as long as we get sunbreaks for good heating.

  21. Ben Monjay says:

Radar just came back online. Looking good out there!

  22. Sean says:

Wow, things are looking pretty explosive here in Indiana today.. Temps are in the 80’s with Dewpoints apporaching 70 (very humid) but at least there is some wind. Looking at the SPC outlook we are in the bullseye for today. Seems that initation should be taking place in the next 1-3 hours. Fully expecting a watch to be issued sometime shortly.
With a good threat of tornadoes for today, looking to get my first tornado pictures today.
Seems like normal Rose Festival weather going on, rainy and gray. Though it has been better the last few years.
    Take it easy everyone..

Not to greatly change the subject or anything, but i was wondering if there have been any winter weather outlooks for any parts of the NW for next year? Starting this fall i will be enrolling in Central washing University just east of the washington cascades in ellensburg, wa. Was just curious on what type of winter weather i might expect there this late fall/winter.
